Scanners

Scanners are suitable for short sequences of drawings. They are much slower than a camera, though ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) scanners are quite fast, but much more expensive.

A scanner needs to have pegbars fixed to it so that the drawings stay in register. It also may be necessary to adjust the scanner settings for each student if the size of their drawings varies a lot.

Scanners are limited to shooting on paper, whereas a camera can shoot cutout shapes and 3D models.
